The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romeu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dead paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Dead counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Dead dodges the punch combination from Romeu.
Romeu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dead throws a head kick but Romeu moves out of range.
Dead misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Romeu drives through and clinches with Dead against the cage.

and Dead counters with a left and a right that stings Romeu.

and Dead counters with a right hand to the body.
Romeu tries to clinch up but Dead circles away and keeps his distance.

Dead tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Romeu avoids it.
Romeu is working for takedown but Dead is calmly controlling the position for now.

Romeu wants to take the fight to the mat but Dead manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Romeu changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dead fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rar Dead has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrice Romeu.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dead is defended easily by Romeu.

Dead shoots for a takedown but Romeu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Romeu has hold of one of Dead's legs. Dead is fighting the takedown attempt but Romeu gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Dead fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Romeu avoids it really well and circles away.
Romeu has managed to clinch.
Romeu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dead walks away with a smile on his face. Romeu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Romeu is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Romeu shuts the power down on Dead. Lights out, game over! Romeu is your winner.
