Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuu Saga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigo Da Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rodrigo Da Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuu Saga! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Da Silva throws a head kick but Saga moves out of range.
Saga shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Da Silva but Da Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one. Da Silva tries to clinch up but Saga circles away and keeps his distance. Da Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Da Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Saga dodges the punch combination from Da Silva.
Saga fails to land the takedown. Saga scores with a takedown into Da Silva's guard. Da Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Saga is controlling him. Da Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Saga is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. I looks like Saga might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Saga tries to free his leg and advance position but Da Silva is retaining full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Saga showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Da Silva wants to stand up but Saga is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Saga seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Da Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Saga is controlling him. Saga controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Despite being in the dominant position, Yuu Saga just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Saga closes the distance and clinches up with Da Silva, looking for a takedown. Saga pushes Da Silva against the ropes but Da Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rodrigo Da Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuu Saga.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Da Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Saga looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Da Silva! Da Silva is breathing heavily. Saga sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Saga fails to take his opponent's back. Saga controlling his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yuu Saga dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Saga bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Saga controls the position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Saga in particular looking to stall. Da Silva is trying to stand up here but Saga is controlling him well. Saga looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Saga is looking for a kimura but Da Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Saga to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da Silva pushes Saga off looking to stand but Saga dives back in and keeps control.
Saga wants to free his trapped foot but Da Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Saga in particular looking to stall. Saga is trying for a kimura here. Da Silva looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Saga wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Yuu Saga!
