Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matty Duarte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and lyoto emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). emelianenko has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
emelianenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Duarte paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Duarte drops down looking for an ankle pick but emelianenko pulls his leg out and moves away.
Duarte is breathing heavily.
emelianenko keeps the fight on the outside.
Duarte shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Duarte showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are battling for position here. emelianenko manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Duarte slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Duarte distracts emelianenko with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Duarte shoots in looking for a takedown. emelianenko tries to sprawl out of it but Duarte keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. emelianenko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matty Duarte will probably get the nod.

emelianenko had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Duarte is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. emelianenko Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Duarte's back instead.
Duarte is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if emelianenko gets his way!

Duarte feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

emelianenko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Duarte doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Duarte manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
emelianenko isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Duarte stacks emelianenko on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Duarte!

I would just about give that final round to lyoto emelianenko.
