Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Basa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Jones had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Marco Basa enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Basa looks to clinch
and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones.

Jones is stalling in the full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Basa can do anything to dispel that myth.
Basa wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him.
Jones trying to control but Basa is working from the bottom.
Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jones stops Basa from standing up.
Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jones passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Jones is working to tighten is grip on Basa's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Basa has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jones is really squeezing tight and eventually Basa passes out! Jones breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
