The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markman avoids the body shot from Pembelton.
Markman misses the shot to the body.
Markman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pembelton stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pembelton wants it to stay on the feet.

Markman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pembelton quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Markman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pembelton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
