Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Obasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obasi comes to the cage accompanied by Overkill. Leonidas has chosen Spartan Warriors as his entrance music. King Leonidas has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Obasi throws a big shot that misses.
Obasi lands a body shot.
Obasi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Leonidas checks a low kick from Obasi.
Leonidas avoids the body shot from Obasi.
Obasi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Leonidas moves away.
Obasi throws a shot to the body.
Leonidas darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Obasi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Leonidas fails with an attempt to clinch.
Obasi ducks right into an uppercut from Leonidas.
Leonidas gets caught napping as Obasi dives in and scores a takedown. Leonidas manages to retain guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Leonidas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Obasi slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Obasi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Leonidas pushes Obasi off looking to stand but Obasi dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leonidas is controlling Obasi's trapped leg to prevent Obasi from advancing to side control.
Obasi wants to pass to mount but Leonidas is defending the position.
Obasi is working for a submission of some sort.
Leonidas tries to kick Obasi off but Obasi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Obasi is pressing down on Leonidas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Leonidas is holding on for now.
Leonidas is trying to stand up here but Obasi is controlling him well.
Leonidas won't allow Obasi to pass to mount.
Obasi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Leonidas defends it well.
Obasi is trying to work for a kimura but Leonidas is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Leonidas is trying to escape back to his feet but Obasi uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Leonidas is trying to buck Obasi off.
Obasi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Leonidas is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Leonidas wants to get back to his feet.

Obasi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Obasi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Leonidas wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Obasi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Leonidas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Obasi has hold of Leonidas's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Leonidas tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Obasi cranks the arm and Leonidas screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Leonidas, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Solomon Obasi!
