Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leomar Tungaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grecko Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grecko Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leomar Tungaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Grecko Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tungaw slips under a jab from Gracie.
Gracie cracks Tungaw with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Tungaw with a poor takedown
and Gracie counters with a right hand to the body.
Tungaw lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie moves into range and connects with a jab.
Tungaw with a lazy takedown attempt
and Gracie counters with a nice body shot.
Gracie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gracie moves into the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Gracie takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Gracie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gracie scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Tungaw pushes Gracie away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gracie gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Tungaw is breathing heavily.

Gracie throws a strike aimed at the side of Tungaw's head but Tungaw avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie controls the position from side control.
Tungaw tries to bench press Gracie off him but Gracie keeps the position.

Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tungaw is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gracie controls the position.

Gracie lands a decent elbow from side control.
Tungaw is trying to escape the position but Gracie is controlling the position.
Tungaw is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gracie is controlling him well.
Tungaw is being controlled here.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but Tungaw is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tungaw is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gracie asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Gracie happy to just control the position for now.

Tungaw is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tungaw is trying to escape the position but Gracie is controlling the position.

Tungaw is looking to reverse the position.
Gracie remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Gracie works to advance to full mount. Tungaw defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Tungaw can't escape the position.
Gracie lands a nice shot to the head.
Tungaw bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tungaw manages to get himself to full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grecko Gracie dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Tungaw has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tungaw there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gracie feints and then cracks Tungaw's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tungaw down.
Gracie has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tungaw misses with a body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gracie darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sloppy strikes from Gracie. Those never looked like landing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie throws a right and a left that both miss.

Gracie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tungaw's half guard.

Tungaw looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Gracie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gracie seems to be looking for submissions.

Tungaw is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.
Tungaw has hold of Gracie's hands but Gracie slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Gracie is looking for a kimura here.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Tungaw might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Tungaw is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Gracie stalling.
Tungaw is trying to stand back up but Gracie is controlling him
Gracie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tungaw!
Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gracie has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tungaw's face.

Gracie is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tungaw can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Gracie working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Tungaw looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Gracie! Submission of the night perhaps?
