Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roger Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Relion Joaquin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roger Dunn could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Relion Joaquin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Dunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Relion Joaquin! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joaquin shoots in looking for a takedown but Dunn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Joaquin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. No luck for Dunn with that takedown attempt. Joaquin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dunn shoots in for a takedown but Joaquin shows good takedown defense. Joaquin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dunn misses with a takedown attempt and Joaquin counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Dunn. That's going to take a lot out of him. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Dunn tries to improve position but can't. Joaquin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dunn wants to control but Joaquin postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunn tries to get back to half guard but can't. Joaquin is looking to take a break and control but Dunn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dunn is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Dunn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dunn is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Joaquin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dunn is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Joaquin's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Dunn is looking for a sweep. Joaquin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dunn rushes Joaquin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dunn dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Dunn successfully pulls guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Joaquin wants to pass the guard but Dunn is keeping the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Dunn trying to keep a closed guard but Joaquin is proving a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Roger Dunn. Joaquin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Joaquin wants it to stay on the feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nice sprawl there from Joaquin as Dunn shoots in. Joaquin slaps away a takedown attempt from Dunn, before circling back to the center of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Roger Dunn will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dunn closes the distance and clinches up with Joaquin, looking for a takedown. Dunn pushes Joaquin against the cage but Joaquin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Joaquin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Dunn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dunn shoots for a takedown but Joaquin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dunn dives in and grabs Joaquin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Joaquin pushes down on Dunn's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Dunn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Joaquin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dunn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Joaquin somewhat. No luck for Dunn with that takedown attempt. Dunn fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunn misses with a wild body shot. Dunn looks for a takedown but Joaquin sprawls well. Dunn shoots in for a double leg but Joaquin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dunn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Joaquin quickly recovers to half guard. Joaquin preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Dunn is pressing down on Joaquin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Joaquin is holding on for now. Joaquin moves into full guard.
Dunn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joaquin on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joaquin wants to sweep here but Dunn controlling him for the moment. Dunn trying to control the position from guard on top but Joaquin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Joaquin is trying to keep Dunn in close.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dunn. Dunn shoots in but no luck this time. Dunn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Joaquin as he jumps to the side. Dunn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Joaquin paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dunn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dunn has a takedown stuffed. Joaquin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dunn is fending him off so far but Joaquin persists. Nope, Dunn circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dunn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dunn slaps away a takedown attempt from Joaquin, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dunn ducks under a wild hook from Joaquin. Dunn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Joaquin pinned against the cage. Joaquin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Joaquin shoots in and drives through. Dunn sprawls well. Dunn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Joaquin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dunn somewhat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Dunn dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Dunn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Joaquin leaves Dunn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dunn misses with a takedown and Joaquin counters with a takedown into side control. Joaquin advances to full mount. Joaquin tries to control but Dunn wriggling away. Joaquin wants to take Dunn's back here but Dunn is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joaquin controlling the position easily from mount. Joaquin is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dunn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dunn shrugs it off. Dunn is trying to reverse the position but instead Joaquin has taken his back - oops! Joaquin gets his hands free as Dunn looks to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunn won't enjoy being in this position. Joaquin looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Dunn is tapping - it's over boys! Joaquin picks up the submission victory!
