Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Black Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmund Dorrance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dorrance's choice of entrance music: Thou Shalt Always Kill. Edmund Dorrance will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Black Belt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Edmund Dorrance! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorrance throws a right hand that misses
and Belt counters with a single leg into guard. Dorrance didn't expect that. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Belt with a flurry of punches that miss. Belt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Belt throwing strikes from guard but Dorrance blocks nicely. Belt cracks Dorrance with a solid left hand. Belt throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Belt throws a big elbow that misses. Dorrance preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Belt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Belt is looking to work some ground and pound but Dorrance has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Belt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters roll with the hold and Dorrance manages to kick Belt off! Belt jumps back into Dorrance's guard. Dorrance working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Belt. Dorrance keeping moving, preventing Belt from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dorrance can do anything to dispel that myth. Belt in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Belt is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dorrance knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Belt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dorrance wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Belt seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Dorrance is tapping! Wow, great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Brabo Choke). Black Belt! Jumping up and down and very excited, Black Belt waved his t-shirt featuring Brute's logo in front of the cameras.
