Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zell Griever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griever comes to the cage accompanied by X-Files Theme. Castle has chosen Biohazard- Punishment as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Castle!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griever lands a nice leg kick that just misses Castle's sensitive parts.
Zell Griever seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Griever gets caught napping as Castle dives in and scores a takedown. Griever manages to retain guard.
Castle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Castle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Castle postures up in Griever's guard and throws a big left but Griever blocks it.
Griever utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Castle throws a big right hand that misses.
Griever wants to sweep here but Castle controlling him for the moment.

Griever bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Castle's guard.
Castle controls Griever momentarily but Griever frees himself.
Castle throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Castle wants to improve his position but instead Griever has moved into half guard.
Castle is refusing to be controlled, as Griever sits in half guard.

Griever passes to full mount!
Griever avoids the attempt from Castle to control.
Griever content just to control the position here.
Castle is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Griever takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Castle tries to hold on but Griever pushes him away.
Castle is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Castle is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Frank Castle will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Castle misses with a series of wild punches.
The fighters circle momentarily. Griever darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.


It looks like Frank Castle has been cut.
Griever misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Castle throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Griever.

Griever closes the distance and clinches.
Griever misses with a short punch on the inside.
Griever throws a punch but it's blocked by Castle.
Griever lands a hook to the side of the head.
Griever lands a hook to the side of the head.
Griever tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Griever lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Castle backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Griever breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Griever delivers a nice body kick.
Griever uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Castle.
Griever ducks under a wild hook from Castle.
Castle takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Griever.
Castle is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Griever lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A slow jab from Castle misses its intended target.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Castle.
Zell Griever is winning the standup battle so far.
Griever lands a nice shot that snaps Castle's head back.


That has opened up Frank Castle's cut even more.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Griever.
Griever scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Castle moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.


The cut above Frank Castle's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Castle doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Griever is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Griever lands a nice looking body shot.

Griever sends Castle crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Griever is motioning to the referee to let Castle up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Griever lands with a kick to the ribs.

Griever gets a clinch.

Griever escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Griever doesn't manage to clinch there - Castle circles away.
A jab from Castle misses.
Castle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Griever manages to avoid it.
Griever tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Castle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Castle misses with a looping left.
Griever scores with a jab.


Frank Castle's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Griever sends Castle crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Griever is motioning to the referee to let Castle up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Frank Castle's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Zell Griever!
Zell Griever retains his heavyweight title!
During a confident post fight interview, Zell Griever thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
