The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Ayise lands but Terjer takes it in his stride.

Ayise clinches up against the cage.
Terjer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ayise pulls his leg out and moves away.
Terjer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Terjer on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ayise. Ayise obviously looking to wear him down.
Ayise defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Terjer.

Ayise stalks Terjer and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Terjer's face. Terjer staggers backwards, shaken.

Terjer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ayise for as long as he can get away with.

Ayise is looking to stand up but Terjer isn't so interested in that idea.
Ayise can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Terjer controls the pace.

Terjer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Terjer is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ayise will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Terjer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Terjer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Ayise tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Terjer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
