Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hokkaido Honsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damarcus Musasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Musasi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Daft punk - Make love kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Damarcus Musasi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hokkaido Honsu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Damarcus Musasi! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Honsu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Musasi as he avoids it easily. Honsu shoots in but Musasi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Musasi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Honsu scores with a takedown into Musasi's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Musasi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Honsu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Honsu wants to control from the top but Musasi keeps moving. Musasi keeping busy on the bottom but Honsu has passed one foot through into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Honsu uses his free foot to push down on Musasi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Musasi. Musasi tries to get back to half guard but can't. Honsu looking to control but Musasi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Honsu moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Musasi has worked his arm free - good work by Musasi!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. I wouldn't like to be where Musasi is right now. Honsu throws a strike aimed at the side of Musasi's head but Musasi avoids it well. Honsu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Musasi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Honsu tries for a kimura but Musasi is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Musasi regains half guard there - taking advantage of Honsu's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Honsu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Musasi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Musasi trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Musasi tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Honsu has advanced to mount. Uh oh. A nice elbow there by Honsu. Honsu goes for an armbar but Musasi turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Musasi. Musasi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Musasi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hokkaido Honsu will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Honsu shoots for a double leg takedown but Musasi sprawls well. He's pushed Honsu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Musasi feints and then cracks Honsu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Honsu down. Honsu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Musasi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Honsu manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Honsu is striking from the bottom but Musasi uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Honsu gets back to full guard.

A big right from Honsu misses. Honsu takes one to the chin there. Honsu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Musasi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hokkaido Honsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Musasi swinging wilding here.

Honsu sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Good leg kick by Musasi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Musasi thuds his shin into the meat of Honsu's side. Hokkaido Honsu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Honsu takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Honsu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Musasi - the referee stops the clock and Honsu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Musasi. Honsu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Musasi, right into the meat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Honsu takes one to the chin there.
