Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hokkaido Honsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damarcus Musasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Musasi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Daft punk - Make love kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Damarcus Musasi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honsu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Musasi as he avoids it easily.

Musasi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Musasi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Honsu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Honsu wants to control from the top but Musasi keeps moving.

Honsu uses his free foot to push down on Musasi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Musasi.

Musasi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close round but I would say that Hokkaido Honsu will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Honsu shoots for a double leg takedown but Musasi sprawls well. He's pushed Honsu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Musasi feints and then cracks Honsu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Honsu down.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Honsu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Musasi - the referee stops the clock and Honsu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Musasi. Honsu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
