Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Spencer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rashad Strasser! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spencer misses with a body shot.
Spencer throws a low kick but Strasser moves out of range easily. Spencer scores with a nice strike. Spencer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Spencer lands with a shot to the body. Strasser throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Spencer. Strasser throws a hook but Spencer blocks it. Jab, jab by Strasser - just one landing.
It looks like Joe Spencer has been cut. Spencer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Spencer jabs Strasser right on the nose. Strasser blinks but takes it well. Joe Spencer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Strasser gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A jab from Spencer misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spencer works Strasser's body with a nice hook. Spencer moves into range and connects with a jab. Spencer lands with a thumping leg kick.
Spencer misses with an uppercut. Strasser saw that one coming. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Strasser, as that shot connected.
Spencer misses with a hook. Spencer tries to clinch there but Strasser circles away.
Spencer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Strasser drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Strasser looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Strasser trying to control the position from guard on top but Spencer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We're going to have a standup here because Joe Spencer wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Spencer clinches.

Strasser is trying to force a seperation but Spencer has the dominant position. Strasser blocks an uppercut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Strasser looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A nice right hand lands inside from Spencer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strasser is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Spencer taking a breather. Spencer lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Spencer wants a takedown.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A quick uppercut on the inside from Spencer. Come on Strasser - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Joe Spencer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Joe Spencer's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Strasser takes one on the button. Strasser fails with the takedown. Spencer with a nice cross. Spencer tries to work over Strasser's front leg with a kick but Strasser checks it. Strasser scores with a decent looking hook. Joe Spencer is winning the standup battle so far. Strasser shoots in looking for a takedown but Spencer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Strasser's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Spencer doesn't manage to clinch there - Strasser circles away.

and Strasser counters with a shoot takedown. Spencer fights it but they end up in guard.

Strasser wants to control from the top but Spencer keeps moving. Strasser looking to pass the guard. Spencer trying to control the position.
Spencer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Strasser controls the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Spencer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strasser uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spencer.
Spencer throws a lazy right hand but Strasser sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Spencer lands a glancing blow to the side of Strasser's head. Strasser looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Spencer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Spencer tries to get out of the position. Strasser controlling from the top position. Spencer is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rashad Strasser wasn't active enough on the ground. Spencer lands a front kick. Horrible takedown by Strasser or perhaps it was just good defense by Spencer which made him look bad. Joe Spencer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rashad Strasser. A telegraphed right hand from Spencer misses the target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strasser on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Spencer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Strasser was well out of range. Poor timing from Spencer. Strasser keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Strasser misses with a looping left. Spencer misses with a few strikes there.
Strasser steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Spencer. Spencer swings for the body but Strasser moves out of range.
Spencer throws a nice inside leg kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Strasser on the wrong end of a nice jab. A punch combination from Spencer misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Rashad Strasser will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Joe Spencer's cut. That's time! Spencer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Strasser tries to bum rush Spencer with a series of wild strikes but Spencer uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Spencer moves to clinch but Strasser breaks away and Strasser counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Strasser throwing shots but Spencer is blocking nicely. Spencer wants to control but Strasser is keeping busy and won't allow it. Strasser not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Strasser tries to pass to full mount but Spencer defends it. Strasser throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Spencer is looking for a sweep. Strasser is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Strasser thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Spencer's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strasser controlling the action here. Spencer manages to get to full guard.
Strasser wants to control from the top but Spencer keeps moving. Strasser missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Strasser pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Spencer is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strasser trying to control but Spencer is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Spencer looking to control.
Strasser stands and throws Spencer's legs to the side, diving into side control. Spencer tries to buck Strasser off but Strasser is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spencer is not content to let Strasser control the position. Strasser controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spencer tries to improve position but can't. Strasser trying to control the position but Spencer is working away. Strasser throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Spencer works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Spencer tries to roll over but Strasser keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Strasser seems content to control.
Rashad Strasser has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Strasser swats away the attempt to clinch by Spencer. Strasser takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Spencer misses with a straight left. Strasser throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A combination from Spencer does no damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Rashad Strasser comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Strasser has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
