The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatherer pivots, looking for a leg kick but Wagner is out of range and Gatherer settles back down.
Gatherer throws the left hand but Wagner avoids the punch easily.
Gatherer lands a front kick.
Kurt Wagner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gatherer tries to land a front kick but Wagner steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Wagner shoots in and drives through. Gatherer sprawls well.
Gatherer looks to score with a jab to the body but Wagner is just out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gatherer cracks Wagner with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Gatherer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wagner to stand back up!
It looks like Kurt Wagner has been cut.
Wagner stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gatherer.
Wagner takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gatherer throws a monster overhand right that drops Wagner! Gatherer follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
