Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Aarons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Crawford! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aarons fails with the takedown. Aarons shoots in but Crawford avoids the takedown attempt easily. Crawford defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Aarons. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Aarons. That's going to take a lot out of him. Aarons shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Crawford misses with a few strikes there.
Aarons shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crawford pinned against the cage. Crawford gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Aarons slips a jab and a cross from Crawford.

Crawford will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Aarons is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Crawford throws a head kick that misses. Oh Aarons is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Crawford throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Aarons tries to score a power double leg takedown but Crawford sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aarons somewhat. Aarons seems to have got his legs back now. Aarons shoots in but Crawford avoids the takedown attempt easily. Aarons is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crawford throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Crawford throws the kick towards the body but Aarons avoids it. Crawford swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

It looks like TJ Crawford has been cut. Aarons has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Aarons misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Crawford feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Aarons's calf. Aarons shoots in for a takedown but Crawford shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Crawford looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Aarons showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Crawford.
Aarons lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crawford lands a nice hook to Aarons's body. Aarons takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. TJ Crawford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aarons shoots in for a double leg but Crawford sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. TJ Crawford is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Aarons crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Crawford - the referee stops the clock and Aarons gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Crawford. Aarons manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Crawford tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Crawford throws a series of punches but Aarons avoids them all with ease. Aarons drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Crawford has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Aarons off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Some wild striking there from Crawford.

Aarons closes the distance and clinches up with Crawford, looking for a takedown. Aarons pushes Crawford against the cage but Crawford circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Crawford tries a head kick but it misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Aarons shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Aarons was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Aarons tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aarons has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Aarons thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Crawford tries to escape but Aarons is in control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aarons is working to tighten is grip on Crawford's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Crawford has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Aarons is really squeezing tight and eventually Crawford passes out! Aarons breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Henry Aarons! Henry Aarons bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
