The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daiz feints a jab promting Brown to slip. Daiz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Brown slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Daiz misses with a body shot.
Daiz throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease.
Brown keeps the fight on the outside.
Brown bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Brown tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Daiz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brown moves into the clinch.
Daiz is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Brown lands an uppercut.
Brown avoiding damage as Daiz throws knees to the body.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Daiz blocks an uppercut.
Daiz gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Brown is looking to control Daiz's arms but Daiz gets an underhook and turns him. Now Brown has his back to the cage.

Daiz works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Daiz is pushing Brown up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Daiz connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Malcomn Brown has been cut.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Daiz obliges.
Daiz with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Brown is rocked!
Daiz creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Brown's defenses.
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Brown is pressed against the cage. Daiz pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Brown! Two more big strikes from Daiz and Brown crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

After the fight, Carlos Daiz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
