The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Gracie.
Gracie fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Devil is out of range.
Devil is looking to score with low kicks.
Taz Devil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie slips a straight right by Devil.

Gracie walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Gracie throws a solid leg kick but Devil takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Gracie.

Gracie motions for Devil to come forward. Gracie throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Gracie walks into a stiff left hand from Devil.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Devil tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Devil manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Taz Devil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Devil ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Gracie takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Devil lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Devil throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gracie.

Devil dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gracie. That did some damage!

Devil shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Gracie counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Devil throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head.

Gracie takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Devil swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Devil takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Devil throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Devil is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gracie had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

and Gracie counters with a stiff right hand.

Devil feints and then cracks Gracie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gracie down.
Devil connects with a nice looking jab.

and Devil counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Devil leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Gracie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Devil's guard.

I would just about give that final round to Taz Devil.
