The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Jin throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jin.
Jin scores with a jab.
Jin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Jin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jin throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily.

Jin unloads a knee to the mid-section. Johnson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Jin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Jin lands a good knee to the midsection. Johnson won't want to take too many of those.
Johnson wants a takedown but no success here.
Ryu Jin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rebel Johnson.

Jin will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Johnson up against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ryu Jin.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Jin circles away.
Jin moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Johnson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jin to the ground. Johnson is now in Jin's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jin throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Nice straight punches there by Jin. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jin.
Johnson connects with a nice looking jab.
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Jin tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnson dives in and grabs Jin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jin pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out.

Jin seems to be stalking Johnson here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Johnson drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ryu Jin!
After the fight, Ryu Jin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
