Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaleb Spartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyquan Zaal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spartan comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Hold Us - Macklemore. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaal dodges the punch combination from Spartan.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zaal looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Zaal is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Spartan.
Zaal bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Spartan's head backwards.
Spartan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Spartan looks to land a right hand but Zaal moved out of range.
Spartan takes one to the side of the head.
Zaal ducks under a wild hook from Spartan.
Zaal scores with a one two! Spartan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Spartan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Spartan throws an off balance right hand
and Zaal counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Zaal misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Spartan.

Spartan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Spartan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Spartan fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zaal unloads a knee to the mid-section. Spartan lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Spartan is trying to push Zaal away but Zaal has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Spartan dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Zaal throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Spartan blocks it with crossed arms.
Spartan tries to break free but Zaal pushes him back against the cage.
Spartan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Zaal obliges.
Spartan is trying to force a seperation but Zaal has the dominant position.
Spartan throws a punch but it's blocked by Zaal.
Zaal has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Spartan - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Zaal, and another! Spartan is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Tyquan Zaal!
