Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chester Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ard Bastord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastord misses with a head kick.
Bastord shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Man but Man pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bastord forces Man back against the cage and clinches.
Man pulls guard successfully.
Man not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Man keeping full guard, as Bastord tries to pass.
Bastord throwing strikes but missing.
Man doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Bastord not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bastord wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.

Bastord stands and steps away. Man gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Bastord lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Bastord shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Man pinned against the cage. Man gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bastord shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Man pinned against the cage. Man gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bastord looks winded!
Bastord throws a right and a left that both miss.
Man doesn't manage to clinch there - Bastord circles away.
Bastord walks into a left hand.
Bastord tries to score a power double leg takedown but Man sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bastord somewhat.
Bastord avoids the head kick by Man.
That kick from Man tenderised Bastord's leg. Bastord is trying to keep his angry face on.

Man fails to land with a series of punches.
Man tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Bastord counters with an inside leg kick.
Man lands a jab.
Man circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bastord shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Man defends it nicely.
Man throws a body punch but Bastord moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Man throws a hook but Bastord avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chester Man will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bastord tries to move into range but Man moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Bastord clinches with his opponent.
Man is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Bastord breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chester Man is winning the standup battle so far.
Bastord is looking to slow Man down with leg kicks.
Bastord doesn't manage to clinch there - Man circles away.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Bastord swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nice sprawl there from Man as Bastord shoots in.
A jab lands there for Man.
Bastord fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Man throws a looping overhand right but Bastord ducks down to avoid it.
Bastord changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Man tries to avoid it but Bastord manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Man to the ground. Man escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chester Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ard Bastord.
Bastord is looking to clinch.
A jab from Man finds it's way through Bastord's defenses.
Man stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Man wants it to stay on the feet.
Bastord is breathing heavily.
Bastord blocks a low kick nicely.
Man looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bastord!

Man is trying to control the action in half guard but Bastord is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Man seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bastord does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Man thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bastord's head.
Bastord is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Man is trying to control the action in half guard but Bastord is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Chester Man wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Bastord shoots in for a takedown but Man shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bastord has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bastord there as he acknowledges the shot.

Man moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Man misses with a looping right.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bastord. Man does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bastord drops his hands momentarily and Man takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Man lunges at Bastord with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bastord's hand.
Man misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bastord tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Man manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bastord tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Man swivels and escapes.
Man shoots in and drives through. Bastord sprawls well.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Bastord takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Man throws a body punch but Bastord moves out of range.

Man throws a solid leg kick but Bastord takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Man.

Man has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bastord uses from the top position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Man, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
