Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Meguru Takayanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micky Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meguru Takayanagi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Micky Ward's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Meguru Takayanagi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Micky Ward! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward tries for a takedown but Takayanagi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ward shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Ward looks to land a combination but Takayanagi avoids it well. Takayanagi lands a slapping body shot.
A left lands for Takayanagi. Takayanagi instigates a clinch. Ward wants to break free but Takayanagi has control.
Takayanagi lands a shot to the body. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Takayanagi takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Takayanagi gets through Ward's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Ward is looking for a takedown. Takayanagi leaning against his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Takayanagi scores with a nice hook to the head. Ward is trying to break the clinch but Takayanagi is controlling him. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Takayanagi presses Ward against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. With the fighters up against the cage, Ward throws an elbow but misses. Ward lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Takayanagi backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takayanagi lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Ward to his knees! Takayanagi keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Meguru Takayanagi! During a confident post fight interview, Meguru Takayanagi thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
