Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Spoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zarul Arifin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, James Spoon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Zarul Arifin! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Arifin. No joy for Spoon on that attempt. Arifin rushes Spoon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Spoon goes for a takedown attempt but Arifin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Arifin lands a body punch. Arifin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Spoon leaves Arifin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Spoon scores with a head kick.
Spoon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Spoon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Arifin throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Arifin has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arifin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Arifin jumps guard but Spoon stands there with Arifin around his waist. Arifin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Arifin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Arifin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Spoon trying to control but Arifin is working from the bottom. Arifin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Arifin striking off his back but it's not causing Spoon any problems. Arifin is pulling down on Spoon's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arifin throws his legs up looking for a submission but Spoon uses it to pass to side control.
Spoon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Arifin can't do much from the bottom here. Spoon is looking to take a break and control but Arifin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Arifin is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Spoon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arifin keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spoon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Arifin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Arifin dodges the ground and pound from Spoon. Spoon scores with punches from side control. Arifin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Spoon trying to control the action but Arifin is working from the bottom. Arifin wants to control but Spoon postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Spoon is working Arifin over with some ground and pound from side control. Arifin is looking to reverse the position. Arifin is trying to get back to his feet. Arifin managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Spoon.
Spoon wants to control but Arifin is keeping him busy. Arifin explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Arifin gets in close and instigates a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Arifin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Arifin gets underhooks to prevent Spoon's takedown attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action! Arifin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zarul Arifin dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Spoon looks for a takedown but Arifin sprawls well. Spoon shoots in for a double leg but Arifin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Spoon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spoon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Arifin counters by moving into the clinch. Spoon crunches a lovely knee into Arifin's ribcage. Spoon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Arifin.
Spoon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Arifin just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spoon is trying to pull guard but Arifin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Arifin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Spoon's efforts to push away. Arifin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Spoon tries a head kick but it misses.
Arifin swats away the attempt to clinch by Spoon. Arifin connects with an inside leg kick. Arifin shoots in but no luck this time. Spoon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Arifin circles away. James Spoon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Arifin tries for a takedown but Spoon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Spoon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Arifin's guard.

Arifin has momentary wrist control but Spoon slips an elbow through the middle. Spoon wants to control from the top but Arifin keeps moving. Arifin wants to get back to his feet but Spoon is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Arifin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spoon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Arifin is breathing heavily. Arifin is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Spoon stands and steps away. Arifin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Spoon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Arifin avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arifin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Arifin has Spoon up against the cage in a clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Arifin.
Arifin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Arifin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Spoon. Spoon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Arifin swivels and escapes. Spoon tries to keep at a distance but Arifin has taken the fight into the clinch. Spoon is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spoon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Arifin breaks the clinch.
Arifin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spoon moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Spoon shoots in for a takedown but Arifin shows good takedown defense. Arifin moves into the clinch successfully.
Spoon has had enough of the clinch but Arifin keeps him there for the moment. Arifin tries to land a knee to the head but Spoon blocks with his arms.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Arifin unloads a knee to the mid-section. Spoon lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Arifin will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Spoon up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spoon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Zarul Arifin will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

and Spoon counters with a head kick. Spoon fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arifin tries to clinch up but Spoon circles away and keeps his distance. Spoon stuffs the takedown attempt from Arifin. Arifin gets slowly back to his feet. James Spoon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zarul Arifin. Sloppy strikes from Arifin. Those never looked like landing. Spoon fails with a takedown attempt. Spoon feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Arifin's calf. Spoon stuffs the takedown attempt from Arifin. Arifin gets slowly back to his feet. Spoon fails to land the takedown. Spoon lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Spoon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Spoon shoots in looking for a takedown but Arifin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spoon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Spoon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Arifin - the referee stops the clock and Spoon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Arifin. Spoon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Spoon looks for a takedown but Arifin sprawls well. A head kick misses from Arifin. Arifin stuffs the takedown attempt from Spoon. Spoon gets slowly back to his feet. Spoon shoots in but Arifin avoids the takedown attempt easily. Spoon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spoon wants it to stay on the feet.

James Spoon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zarul Arifin is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Spoon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Zarul Arifin. I've got Arifin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
