Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Sutherland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan Nowak!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Nowak lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sutherland doesn't seem phased though.


It looks like Paul Sutherland has been cut.
Nowak misses with a body shot.
Sutherland drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sutherland throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sutherland misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sutherland slips under a jab.
Sutherland misses with a straight left.
A left lands for Nowak.
Nowak takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sutherland throws a hook but Nowak avoids it easily.
Sutherland swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nowak.
Nowak throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nowak avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nowak lands with a good body shot.

Nowak closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sutherland did well to prevent Nowak getting side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Nowak trying to pass the guard but Sutherland defending well.
Nowak thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nowak throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Sutherland tries to roll over but Nowak keeps him under control.
Sutherland trying to control from the bottom.
Sutherland avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nowak.
Sutherland regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Nowak.
Sutherland not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sutherland is really struggling to control Nowak but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Sutherland looking for a sweep. Not yet Sutherland, not yet.
Sutherland is working hard here to advance position.
Nowak postures up.
Nowak with a flurry of punches that miss.
Nowak throws a big right hand that misses.

Nowak throwing strikes but missing.
Nowak postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nowak throwing strikes from guard but Sutherland blocks nicely.
Sutherland pulls Nowak in close to prevent any damage.
Sutherland utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Nowak looking to sit in guard and control but Sutherland gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sutherland wants to control from the top but Nowak keeps moving.
Sutherland stays in close to Nowak's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Paul Sutherland.
Sutherland throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sutherland avoids the body shot from Nowak.
Sutherland stuffs the takedown.
Sutherland connects with a nice looking jab.
Sutherland moves out of range of the strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sutherland staying out of range there.
Sutherland closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Sutherland bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sutherland throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sutherland swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sutherland looks for the body kick but Nowak saw that one coming.

Nowak lands a left and a right that sends Sutherland crashing to the canvas! Nowak dives into mount looking to finish!


Sutherland is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nowak postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Sutherland in real trouble here! The ref calls for Sutherland to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jan Nowak!
Jan Nowak decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
