Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bert Ernie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bert Ernie had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ernie circles away.
Ernie shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ernie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Riley keeps working.

Riley controls Ernie momentarily but Ernie frees himself.

Ernie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Riley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ernie, into his guard.

Riley drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ernie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Riley has Ernie in his guard.

Riley has gone for a leg lock! Ernie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Riley's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Ernie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ernie.

Riley is pressed up against the cage. Ernie has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Riley down to the mat. Riley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ernie shoots in for a double leg but Riley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Riley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ernie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Riley has managed to get both his arms back between Ernie's legs - danger averted.
