Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Demetrius Colrane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Diggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diggins has chosen Bonfire as his entrance music. Franklin Diggins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Demetrius Colrane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franklin Diggins! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colrane gets tackled into the cage by Diggins. Diggins maintains the clinch. Diggins manages to pull guard.
Colrane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Diggins looking for a sweep. Not yet Diggins, not yet. Colrane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diggins swivels though and keeps the full guard. Colrane stops Diggins from standing up. Diggins is trying to control the position but Colrane postures up. Diggins manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Diggins prevents Colrane from getting the reversal. Colrane tries to hold on but Diggins postures up. Diggins trying to control but he's not successful this time. Diggins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Colrane is trying to escape the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diggins controlling from the full mount. Diggins trying to control but Colrane is having none of it. Colrane tries to reverse the position but Diggins maintains control. Diggins controlling from the full mount. That's two minutes gone in the round. Colrane tries to roll over but Diggins keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diggins wants to free his trapped foot but Colrane is holding on for dear life with his legs. Diggins keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Colrane wants to improve his position but Diggins is controlling well.
Diggins perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Franklin Diggins wasn't active enough on the ground. Colrane throws a predictable looking body shot
and Diggins counters by clinching up. Colrane can't find room to land a body shot as Diggins controls the action.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diggins pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Diggins blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Diggins is trying to pull guard but Colrane turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Demetrius Colrane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franklin Diggins. Colrane is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Diggins can't fight it off and eventually Colrane manages to take the fight to the floor. Diggins looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Colrane passes easily into side control. Nice work. Diggins is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Colrane off and has taken his back! The referee is taking a good look at Colrane as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Diggins!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diggins throws a big right hand that misses. Colrane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Colrane striking off his back but it's not causing Diggins any problems. Diggins postures up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Diggins wants to control from the top but Colrane keeps moving.

A close round but Franklin Diggins will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Colrane scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Franklin Diggins has been cut. Diggins throws a front kick aimed at Colrane's knee but Colrane avoids it well. Colrane blocks a head kick by Diggins.

Diggins closes the distance and clinches. Diggins has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Colrane uses from the top position. Diggins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Colrane trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Colrane working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Diggins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Diggins looking for a sweep. Not yet Diggins, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colrane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diggins is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diggins wants to control but Colrane postures up. Diggins is still in real trouble! Can Colrane finish him? Colrane scores with punches from side control. Colrane working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Diggins gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Colrane lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Diggins is looking to control Colrane's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Diggins avoid being mounted? Colrane lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Diggins quite badly. Diggins pulls Colrane in close trying to recover. Colrane postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Diggins on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Diggins doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
