Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Mitrione!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kev Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Hawkins gets caught napping as Mitrione dives in and scores a takedown. Hawkins manages to retain guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hawkins has Mitrione pulled in close to control his posture.

Mitrione stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawkins swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by Mitrione or perhaps it was just good defense by Hawkins which made him look bad.

and Hawkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Mitrione dives in and grabs Hawkins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hawkins pushes down on Mitrione's head and hops out.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mitrione decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mitrione is taking a breather. Hawkins says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Mitrione changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hawkins tries to avoid it but Mitrione manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hawkins to the ground. Hawkins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Matt Mitrione seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Mitrione will probably get the nod.
