Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deangelo Jeremetrius Vickers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vickers comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Boats N' Hoes kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Deangelo Jeremetrius Vickers told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nixon misses with a double jab
and Vickers counters with a body kick that stops Nixon in his tracks momentarily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nixon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vickers changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Nixon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vickers. Vickers obviously looking to wear him down.
Vickers connects with a crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vickers throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nixon blocks the body kick.
Nixon throws a shot from downtown. Vickers moves away and avoids it.
Nixon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nixon gets tackled into the cage by Vickers. Vickers maintains the clinch.
Vickers unloads a knee to the mid-section.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Vickers.
It looks like David Nixon has been cut.

Vickers is struggling to control the position.

Nixon takes a knee right on the jaw!
Vickers digs a right hand underneath Nixon's ribcage. Nixon let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Vickers manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The crowd are getting on Vickers's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Vickers wants to stall.
Nixon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Vickers displaying some good clinch control by pressing Nixon up against the cage.
Nixon is looking to break free of the clinch but Vickers has double underhooks.
Nixon avoiding damage as Vickers throws knees to the body.
Nixon is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Nixon misses with a knee strike.

Vickers avoids a wild elbow strike from Nixon.
Vickers putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Nixon in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Nixon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Vickers regains guard immediately.

Vickers manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Nixon throws a solid leg kick but Vickers takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nixon.
Nixon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vickers.
Nixon tries to bum rush Vickers with a series of wild strikes but Vickers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Nixon tries for a takedown but Vickers circles away easily
and Vickers counters with a solid body kick.
A lazy left from Vickers finds it's target.
Nixon avoids the head kick by Vickers.
Vickers tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Nixon counters with a good low kick that Vickers was not able to check.
Nixon misses with a straight right.
Nixon throws a lazy head kick
and Vickers counters with a nice uppercut.
Nixon throws a right hand that misses
and Vickers counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Nixon badly! He tries to strike back but Vickers puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Nixon out cold! Oh man, Nixon will never hear the end of this one!
