Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miroslaw Krawy!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Krawy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rodriguez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Krawy pinned against the cage. Krawy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Krawy feints and as Rodriguez raises his hands in defense, Krawy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Rodriguez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Krawy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Let's hope that Krawy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Miroslaw Krawy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Krawy stands up over Rodriguez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rodriguez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Krawy slips a nice elbow through Rodriguez's hands, connecting with Rodriguez's forehead.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Krawy connects with a nice short shot to Rodriguez's temple.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rodriguez wants to control but Krawy is keeping busy.

Rodriguez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Krawy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rodriguez somewhat.

Horrible takedown by Rodriguez or perhaps it was just good defense by Krawy which made him look bad.
