The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Evoks has his takedown stuffed
and Henderson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Henderson avoids the head kick by Evoks.
Henderson throws a poor cross that misses
and Evoks counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Henderson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Evoks plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Nice sprawl there from Henderson as Evoks shoots in.
Henderson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Evoks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Henderson shoots in and gets a takedown into Evoks's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Henderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Evoks is retaining full guard.
Evoks is trying to control the position but Henderson postures up.
Henderson won't allow Evoks to sweep him here.
Evoks tries to strike from the bottom.
Henderson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Evoks wants to stand and escape but Henderson is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henderson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Evoks's head.

Evoks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Evoks is breathing heavily.
Henderson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Henderson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Evoks swings for the body but Henderson moves out of range.
Henderson misses with a two punch combination.
Dan Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evoks throws a head kick but Henderson moves out of range.
Evoks looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Henderson tries to bum rush Evoks with a series of wild strikes but Evoks uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

No joy there for Henderson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Henderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
