Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mats Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Another one bites the dust blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mats Svensson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson connects with a nice looking jab.
Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Svensson wants to get back to full guard.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.
Svensson tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg.
Svensson is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard.
Svensson gets back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Svensson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones clinches up with Svensson and pushes him back against the cage.
Svensson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Svensson is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now.
Svensson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Svensson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Svensson can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Svensson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Svensson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Svensson is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Svensson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

It looks like Marcus Jones has been cut.
Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Jones is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Svensson lands a nice shot to the head.
Jeez, Marcus Jones's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marcus Jones's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
