Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Degrizz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Turnham!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turnham shoots in looking for a takedown but Degrizz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Turnham's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Turnham looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nice takedown defense from Degrizz. No joy for Turnham on that attempt.
Turnham scores with a leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Degrizz as Turnham shoots in.
Jim Degrizz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Turnham.
Turnham lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Turnham is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Turnham tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Degrizz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Turnham shoots in and drives through. Degrizz sprawls well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turnham tries to close the distance and clinch up but Degrizz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Turnham changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Degrizz tries to avoid it but Turnham manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Degrizz to the ground. Degrizz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Degrizz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Turnham shoots for a double leg takedown but Degrizz sprawls well. He's pushed Turnham's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Degrizz walks into a left hand.
Shane Turnham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turnham looks to clinch

and Degrizz counters with a nice right hand that sends Turnham toppling to the canvas! Turnham scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Degrizz finish him?!


Turnham is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Degrizz tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turnham tries to close the distance and clinch but Degrizz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Turnham closes the distance and pushes Degrizz back into the cage.

Degrizz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Turnham drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Turnham stops Degrizz from standing up.
Turnham looking to pass the guard.

Degrizz uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Turnham tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Turnham pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jim Degrizz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Turnham fails to land the takedown.
Turnham looks to clinch
and Degrizz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Degrizz circles away from the clinch attempt

and Degrizz counters with a crisp right hand that drops Turnham! Degrizz lets Turnham back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Turnham is still on wobbly legs! Can Degrizz finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Turnham tries to clinch but Degrizz moves out of range.
Turnham seems to have recovered his senses.
Turnham looks to clinch
and Degrizz counters with a crisp right that sends Turnham to the canvas! Degrizz follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
