Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Vita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Dragic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dragic has chosen One more night as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Vita!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vita swats away the attempt to clinch by Dragic.
Dragic misses with a takedown attempt - Vita sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dragic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vita tries to avoid it but Dragic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vita to the ground. Vita escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dragic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vita swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dragic shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vita but Vita pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Dragic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vita. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dragic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vita doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vita manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vita decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Vita throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dragic's waist but Dragic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vita off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dragic looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Dragic tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vita sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dragic somewhat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vita decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dragic to his feet.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Vita shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dragic as he jumps to the side.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Dragic digs a right hand underneath Vita's ribcage. Vita let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Dragic manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Dragic wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dragic jumps guard but Vita stands there with Dragic around his waist. Dragic gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Dragic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vita avoids it really well and circles away.

Dragic is breathing heavily.
Vita is nestled in close to Dragic, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Dragic is looking to control Vita's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dragic avoid being mounted?
