The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Husby but Husby pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Payne feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Payne tries to free his leg and advance position but Husby is retaining full guard.
Payne works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Payne has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Husby defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Payne.
Payne looking to isolate an arm here. Husby doesn't see it coming and as Payne extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Payne!
