The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirk lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kirk connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Karhu momentarily.
Karhu finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Karhu takes one to the chin there.
Kirk tests Karhu's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Kirk chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Karhu can pounce on him.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kirk crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Karhu - the referee stops the clock and Kirk gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Karhu. Kirk manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kirk checks a leg kick.

Kirk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Karhu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

You can see the frustration on Karhu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kirk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
