Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Vegh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankestein Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegh's entrance music is Linkin Park- The catalyst. A fine choice. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arnold Vegh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankestein Mir!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegh throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mir counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Mir shoots in and drives through. Vegh sprawls well.
The crowd cheers as Vegh lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mir doesn't seem phased though.
Mir lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mir.
Mir throws a half hearted mid kick.
Mir misses with a two punch combination.
Mir moves away from the strike by Vegh.
Arnold Vegh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters circling - Mir throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mir swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mir fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Mir gets the takedown into side control.
Mir tries to advance to mount but Vegh denies him.
Mir lands a few punches from side control.
Mir working the ground and pound but Vegh is defending the strikes.
Vegh is looking to reverse the position.
Mir cracks Vegh with a big elbow.
Mir is looking to take a break and control but Vegh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mir lands a nice forearm strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mir throws a strike aimed at the side of Vegh's head but Vegh avoids it well.

Mir working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Mir tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Mir working the ground and pound but Vegh is defending the strikes.
Mir looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Vegh is avoiding damage well.
Mir trying to control the position but Vegh is working away.
Mir grinds an elbow into Vegh's temple.
Vegh is looking for a sweep.

Mir working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Vegh is looking for a sweep.
Vegh tries to escape but Mir is in control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mir works to advance to full mount. Vegh defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Vegh is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mir has hold of Vegh's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Vegh manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Vegh tries to hold on but Mir pushes him away.
Mir is landing with some decent strikes but Vegh is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Mir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Vegh gets back to half guard.
Vegh preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Mir moves into full mount! Vegh won't be happy about that!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Mir is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Vegh can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Mir lands a couple of good shots and Vegh has given up his back, trying to escape the position!


Vegh is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mir has got one arm under Vegh's chin. This could be trouble... Vegh trying to control the other hand but Mir gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Vegh has tapped out! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Frankestein Mir!
Frankestein Mir opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
