Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brynjar Skjeggestad!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Skjeggestad doesn't succeed with the takedown
so Vermont counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Skjeggestad is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vermont defends well.
Vermont stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skjeggestad swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vermont is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Vermont drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Skjeggestad dives on top into guard.
Vermont is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Vermont is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Skjeggestad is controlling him.

Skjeggestad drops back looking for a leg! Vermont is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vermont manages to kick Skjeggestad off! Skjeggestad jumps back into Vermont's guard.
Vermont working for a triangle but Skjeggestad defends it easily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Skjeggestad drops back looking for a leg! Vermont is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vermont manages to kick Skjeggestad off! Skjeggestad jumps back into Vermont's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Skjeggestad is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Vermont is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
