Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kid Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gawain Lot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lot has chosen Game of Thrones as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Kid Kong!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gawain Lot!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lot closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kong's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kong working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lot.
Lot trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Lot throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Kong is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lot scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Lot trying to control the position from guard on top but Kong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lot might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kong haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
