The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riordan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Riordan lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Riordan won't allow Galahad to sweep him here.
Riordan lands a couple of elbows.
Riordan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Riordan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Riordan advances to half guard.
Riordan working Galahad over with strikes.
Galahad wants to control but Riordan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Riordan has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Galahad defend it? Riordan steps over the head and cranks it - Galahad is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Riordan!
