Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Didier Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Levko Serdyuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serdyuk comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Song 2 by Blur kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Didier Leroy had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Levko Serdyuk enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Didier Leroy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Levko Serdyuk! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leroy takes one to the chin there. Leroy looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Serdyuk has managed to clinch.
Leroy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Serdyuk after a bit of a struggle. Serdyuk working hard to break the clinch. Serdyuk is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Leroy tries to stall but Serdyuk uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Leroy has Serdyuk pressed against the cage, preventing Serdyuk from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Serdyuk changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Leroy fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Serdyuk. Serdyuk is looking to take a break and control but Leroy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Serdyuk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leroy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Leroy defending against the ground and pound. Serdyuk tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The strikes coming from Serdyuk are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Serdyuk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Leroy keeps working. Serdyuk tries for a kimura but Leroy is defending well. Serdyuk throws an elbow but Leroy slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serdyuk tries to advance to mount but Leroy instead regains half guard. Serdyuk throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Serdyuk wants to pass the guard but Leroy is defending well. Serdyuk is working for a kimura but Leroy is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Serdyuk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Leroy keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Serdyuk darts in and clinches Leroy up against the cage. Serdyuk is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Leroy is defending well. Leroy wants to get back to striking at distance but Serdyuk won't allow it.
Serdyuk is struggling to control the position. Leroy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Serdyuk's efforts to push away. Serdyuk drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Leroy gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Serdyuk on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Serdyuk. Serdyuk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leroy sprawls well. Leroy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Serdyuk gets slowly back to his feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Serdyuk wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Serdyuk is trying to drag Leroy to the mat but Leroy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Serdyuk will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Leroy up against the cage. Leroy trying to stall but Serdyuk improves his position.
Serdyuk has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Leroy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Leroy throws an elbow that misses.
Leroy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Serdyuk tries to pull guard but Leroy forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Leroy has momentary wrist control but Serdyuk slips an elbow through the middle. Serdyuk throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Serdyuk trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Serdyuk tries to free his leg and advance position but Leroy is retaining full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Serdyuk content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Levko Serdyuk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Serdyuk is trying to force a seperation but Leroy has the dominant position. Serdyuk just leaning against Leroy, taking a breather. Levko Serdyuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A combination from Serdyuk does no damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serdyuk tries to bum rush Leroy with a series of wild strikes but Leroy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Serdyuk closes the distance and clinches up with Leroy, looking for a takedown. Serdyuk pushes Leroy against the cage but Leroy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Serdyuk closes the distance and clinches. Leroy wants to break free but Serdyuk has control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Leroy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Serdyuk's efforts to push away. Serdyuk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Serdyuk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Leroy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A combination from Serdyuk does no damage. Serdyuk scores with a one two! Leroy had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Serdyuk gets a takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Leroy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Serdyuk.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serdyuk looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Serdyuk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Serdyuk lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Serdyuk is looking to advance position but Leroy won't allow it. Serdyuk is keen to just control but Leroy is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leroy wants to get back to his feet.
Levko Serdyuk has got the better of the ground game so far. Serdyuk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Serdyuk working over Leroy with some ground and pound. Leroy looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Serdyuk wants to stand but Leroy has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Levko Serdyuk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Serdyuk is trying to control the action in half guard but Leroy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Levko Serdyuk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Serdyuk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
