Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Marc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Yayram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Yayram's choice of entrance music: 99 Problems. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marc gets a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Yayram is looking to get back to full guard here but Marc has managed to pass to side control instead.

Yayram might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Marc haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Yayram is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Marc is staying active.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yayram is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Marc is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Marc can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Yayram is looking to escape.
Marc knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yayram on the ground.
Marc throws a wild left hand from mount and Yayram manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.

Yayram moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Yayram looking for a guillotine here but Marc defends easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marc slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Marc has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yayram is proving hard to escape from.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Yayram had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marc defends it easily.

Yayram escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marc gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Marc has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yayram is proving hard to escape from.
Marc has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marc manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yayram on his heels. He'll look to pass Yayram's guard now, I'm sure.

Yayram manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Jeff Marc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marc tries to free his leg and advance position but Yayram is retaining full guard.

Yayram is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Marc frees his head nicely. Oh but Yayram has switched to an armbar! Marc is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

After the fight, Lex Yayram was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
