Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Weissenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Rohan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fernando Weissenberg!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, George Rohan!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weissenberg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rohan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Weissenberg somewhat.
Weissenberg takes a swing at Rohan's ribcage but misses.
Rohan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Weissenberg tries for a takedown but Rohan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fernando Weissenberg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rohan stuffs the takedown.
Weissenberg shoots in but no luck this time.
Rohan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Weissenberg throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Weissenberg tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rohan swivels and escapes.

Weissenberg shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rohan pinned against the cage. Rohan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Weissenberg is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rohan's half guard.
Rohan won't allow Weissenberg to pass to mount.
Weissenberg thows a huge punch but Rohan dodges it nicely.

Rohan leaves Weissenberg with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Weissenberg rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rohan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rohan.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Weissenberg crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rohan - the referee stops the clock and Weissenberg gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rohan. Weissenberg manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well, if Weissenberg is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Weissenberg seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rohan for as long as he can get away with.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Weissenberg wants to take a breather but Rohan is having none of it.

Rohan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close second round but George Rohan will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Weissenberg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rohan as he jumps to the side.
Rohan tries to land a front kick but Weissenberg steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Rohan jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Weissenberg is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Weissenberg and Rohan has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Weissenberg shoots in looking for a takedown. Rohan tries to sprawl out of it but Weissenberg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rohan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Rohan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.


Weissenberg is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rohan lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Oh Weissenberg is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rohan is working to tighten is grip on Weissenberg's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Weissenberg has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rohan is really squeezing tight and eventually Weissenberg passes out! Rohan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). George Rohan!
George Rohan is the new lightweight champion!
After winning the bout, George Rohan thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
