Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Travis Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sharp Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Travis Hunter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Travis Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sharp Head!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head misses with a body shot.
Head looks to land a combination but Hunter avoids it well.

Hunter rushes Head and presses him up against the cage.
Hunter lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Head jumps guard and drags Hunter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hunter postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Head is trying to keep Hunter in close.
Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hunter lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Hunter is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hunter is fighting to break Head's control of his arms but Head is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Head is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hunter is controlling him.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hunter's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Head is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hunter content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Hunter lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Head down.
Hunter controls the position from side control.
Head takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Hunter is working Head over with some ground and pound from side control.

Hunter is looking to take a break and control but Head is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hunter cracks Head with a big right hand but Head just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Head takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Head fails to land with a series of punches.
Hunter bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Head's head backwards.
Hunter connects with a body shot.

Hunter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Head's guard.

Head is trying to control the position but Hunter postures up.
Hunter throws a big elbow that misses.
Hunter is pushing down on Head's leg trying to pass to half guard. Head is fighting to maintain full guard but Hunter has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hunter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Head has hold of Hunter's hands but Hunter slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Head really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hunter passes the guard and advances to mount!

Head is in a horrible position here. Hunter smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Hunter breaks from Head's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Travis Hunter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hunter looking to control and managing it successfully.
Hunter lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Head hang on?
Hunter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Head can do to turn this around?

Hunter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hunter cracks Head with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Head takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Head is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Head is breathing heavily.

Hunter fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
