Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike RIcci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Umanga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike RIcci!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nate Umanga!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umanga closes this distance looking for a takedown but RIcci circles away.
A slow jab from RIcci misses its intended target.
Umanga shoots and misses
enabling RIcci to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Nate Umanga has been cut.
No luck for Umanga with that takedown attempt.
Mike RIcci has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Umanga.

Umanga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. RIcci defends it nicely.
Umanga shoots in for a takedown but RIcci shows good takedown defense.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts RIcci, as that shot connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Umanga has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from RIcci finds it's way round the side to connect with Umanga's head.
Umanga is rocked!
A swing and a miss from RIcci.
Umanga is still on wobbly legs! Can RIcci finish him?
Umanga tries for a takedown but RIcci sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Umanga seems to have recovered his senses.
RIcci cracks Umanga with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Umanga tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but RIcci pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Umanga is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike RIcci!
