PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kinnison Brickshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Pointek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brickshaw comes to the cage accompanied by I will be heard by Hatebreed. Pointek has chosen Sevendust - Enemy as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kinnison Brickshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Pointek!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brickshaw shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Brickshaw stops Pointek from standing up.
Brickshaw pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pointek is keeping the position for now.
Pointek wants to get back to his feet but Brickshaw is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pointek is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brickshaw drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brickshaw jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brickshaw drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pointek manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brickshaw has Pointek in his guard.

Brickshaw had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pointek is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Brickshaw Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pointek's back instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brickshaw is trying to stick to Pointek's back but Pointek is turning into Brickshaw. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Brickshaw's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pointek.

Brickshaw escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pointek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pointek gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Pointek knocks Brickshaw to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Brickshaw is rocked!

It looks like Kinnison Brickshaw has been cut.
Brickshaw is trying to improve his position.
Oh Brickshaw is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brickshaw is breathing heavily.
Pointek controlling the position.

Pointek decides to stand up, so the ref orders Brickshaw to his feet.
Pointek cracks Brickshaw with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Brickshaw falls to his knees and Pointek doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Pointek!
