Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddel throws a series of punches but Butler avoids them all with ease.
Butler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Butler shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Liddel manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Butler throws an elbow that misses. Liddel uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Butler's guard. Nice move by Liddel!
Liddel distracts Butler with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Frank Liddel wasn't doing enough on the ground.
The crowd cheers as Liddel lands an impressive looking overhand right. Butler doesn't seem phased though.

Liddel looks for a takedown but Butler sprawls well.

Butler scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Butler lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Butler seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Liddel is looking to improve his position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Butler postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jimmy Butler dominated that round.
That's time! Liddel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Liddel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Liddel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Butler avoids it really well and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Liddel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Butler looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Frank Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Butler.
Liddel tries to land knees in the clinch but Butler avoids the damage to the body.

Liddel has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Butler uses from the top position.
