PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bunk Moreland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angle has chosen TNA Kurt as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Angle is looking to advance position but Moreland won't allow it.

Moreland had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Angle is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Moreland Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Angle's back instead.

Angle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moreland. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Angle should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Angle can do anything to dispel that myth.

Moreland thuds his right hand into Angle's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Angle has hold of Moreland's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Moreland manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kurt Angle just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Angle remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
