Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randal Plimpton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ong Bak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bak is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by One Night In Bangkok. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

6 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ong Bak! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bak gets a clinch. Plimpton goes for a takedown attempt but Bak pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bak misses with a jab, cross combination.
Plimpton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bak swats him away and circles back towards the center. Plimpton is looking to clinch. Plimpton gets tackled into the cage by Bak. Bak maintains the clinch. Bak manages to break the clinch.
Plimpton shoots in for a takedown but Bak shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bak delivers a nice body kick. Plimpton gets caught napping as Bak dives in and scores a takedown. Plimpton manages to retain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plimpton has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bak has passed into side control.
Bak wants to stand but Plimpton is controlling his arm. You can see the frustration on Plimpton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bak tries to advance to mount but Plimpton denies him. Bak controls the position. Plimpton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bak wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Plimpton looking for a sweep but Bak has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plimpton tries to hold on but Bak postures up. Bak takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Plimpton is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bak seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Ong Bak dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A head kick misses from Bak. Plimpton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bak moves in looking to clinch but Plimpton pushes him off. Bak lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Plimpton persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Bak is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Plimpton drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bak manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Plimpton has Bak in his guard. Plimpton keeping moving, preventing Bak from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bak controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Plimpton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bak is one step ahead there.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ong Bak. Bak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Plimpton paws at him with a jab and circles away. A punch combination from Bak misses.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Plimpton wants to control from the top but Bak keeps moving. Plimpton is pushing down on Bak's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bak is fighting to maintain full guard but Plimpton has managed to sneak the leg through. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Plimpton prevents Bak from standing back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Randal Plimpton will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Plimpton. Bak throws a nice looking combination but Plimpton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bak connects with a leg kick. Plimpton looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Sloppy strikes from Bak. Those never looked like landing. Bak misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bak throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Plimpton. Plimpton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bak manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bak tries to close the distance and clinch but Plimpton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bak connects with a looping right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bak wants to clinch. Bak shoots in and gets a takedown into Plimpton's guard. Bak preventing the sweep. Randal Plimpton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Plimpton is trying to keep Bak in close.
Bak wants to control from the top but Plimpton keeps moving. Plimpton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Plimpton holds on and takes a little breather. Bak trying to control but Plimpton is working from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ong Bak hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Plimpton takes a kick to the side of the head. Bak misses with a leg kick and Plimpton counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Ong Bak has been cut. Randal Plimpton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bak closes the distance and pushes Plimpton back into the cage. Plimpton is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bak is defending well for now. Bak prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Bak. No joy for Plimpton on that attempt. Ong Bak seems to be getting the better of the standup. Plimpton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bak counters with a one-two to the body. Bak throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Bak tries to close the distance and clinch but Plimpton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Plimpton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bak circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Ong Bak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
