Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alek Zimmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan comes into the arena with Mongol blaring out of the sound system. Zimmer has chosen Manowar - Warriors of the World as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Zimmer - just one landing.
Khan tries to clinch up but Zimmer circles away and keeps his distance.
Zimmer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Khan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Zimmer tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Khan defending well as Zimmer loads up on a big left hand.
Zimmer shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

and Khan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Khan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zimmer.
Alek Zimmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zimmer throws a hook to the side of Khan's head but Khan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee asks Zimmer politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Zimmer prefers to stall for the moment though.

Zimmer goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Khan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Zimmer's guard! Nice work there by Khan!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Zimmer in particular looking to stall.
