Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Javier Martin! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin misses with a straight right. Bayag avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Martin shoots in looking for a takedown but Bayag manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Martin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Martin gets a clinch. Martin slows down the pace here.

Martin fails with the takedown. Martin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bayag swivels and escapes. Totoy Bayag has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Javier Martin. Martin shoots in and drives through. Bayag sprawls well.

Bayag is trying to force a seperation but Martin has the dominant position. Martin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bayag uses from the top position. Bayag wanted to stand there but Martin had control of the position. Martin keeping full guard, as Bayag tries to pass. Bayag throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Martin has momentary wrist control but Bayag slips an elbow through the middle. Martin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bayag wants to stand but Martin is controlling his posture from full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bayag throwing strikes from guard but Martin blocks nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Martin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bayag! Martin looks winded! Bayag wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Martin misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Bayag is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Martin avoids the attempt from Bayag to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Totoy Bayag will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Totoy Bayag has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Javier Martin. Martin breaks the clinch.

Bayag can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Martin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bayag's jab looks to have found its range, popping Martin under the eye. Bayag ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Bayag doesn't manage to clinch there - Martin circles away.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Totoy Bayag. I think Bayag has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
