Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Manlucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Neck of the Woods. Manlucas is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Killer Mike - Big Beast (Feat. Bun B, T.I. & Trouble). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ramon Manlucas! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manlucas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ross. Ross throws a jab when Manlucas was well out of range. Manlucas on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ross. Ross obviously looking to wear him down.
Ross misses with a straight left. Manlucas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ross. A telegraphed right hand from Manlucas misses the target. Manlucas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ross throws a looping overhand right but Manlucas ducks down to avoid it. Manlucas slips a straight right by Ross. Manlucas stuns Ross with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Manlucas connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Ross misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ross throws a hook to the side of Manlucas's head but Manlucas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ross looks to land a left hand but Manlucas moved out of range nicely. Ross lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Manlucas at a distance.
Ross throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Manlucas misses with an uppercut. Ross saw that one coming. Manlucas moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ross thows a left - swing and a miss! Ross will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross misses with a left hand and Manlucas counters with a straight right hand. Manlucas misses with a low kick.

Manlucas fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Manlucas looks to land a left hand but Ross moved out of range nicely. Manlucas connects with a crisp jab. Ross takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ross scores with a decent looking hook. Manlucas cracks Ross with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Manlucas throws the left hand but Ross avoids the punch easily. The fighters circling - Manlucas throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mike Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Manlucas walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ross checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Manlucas thows a body shot but no joy. Ross throws a hook to the side of Manlucas's head but Manlucas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ross tries to move into range but Manlucas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A big right from Manlucas misses. Ross shoots in and bounces Manlucas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ross stands up over Manlucas, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Ross might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Manlucas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ross is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Manlucas. Ross wants to control but Manlucas is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Manlucas tries to improve position but can't. The referee asks Ross politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ross prefers to stall for the moment though. Ross has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Manlucas tries to improve position but can't. Manlucas manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ross connects with a nice short shot to Manlucas's temple. Ross slips a nice elbow through Manlucas's hands, connecting with Manlucas's forehead. Manlucas looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Manlucas taking some punishment here, with Ross in his half guard. Ross wants to free his trapped foot but Manlucas is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross scoring with strikes to the body and head. Ross looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Manlucas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ross lands strikes from half guard.
Manlucas is rocked! Ross winds up and cracks Manlucas with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Manlucas is still in real trouble! Can Ross finish him? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ross is controlling the pace.
Ross lands a big elbow - Manlucas is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Ross!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Ross! A very excited looking Mike Ross made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
